Beyond the already well known addiction phenomena (tobacco, alcohol, drugs…), new forms of addiction are emerging and disturbing employees at a distance. Bruno Mettling, former HR director of the Orange group and founding president of Topics, and Pierre Polomeni, psychiatrist and occupational physician, are alerting HR directors, especially since 41% of employees report more frequent addictive practices in remote locations, or ten points more than in the usual workplace, according to a study. To the point that the Ministry of Labour is proposing a new system for companies to strengthen the prevention of addictive behaviour in the workplace.
